Club Update: 28 July, 1999Well, the Safari has come and gone again. This year the tournament ran more smoothly than in the past, due to a number of decisions on TD Jeff Fielder's part. First and foremost, the course was limited to 21 holes this year. The majority of the holes that have been a back-up in the past were slightly altered to speed up play. The most significant change was probably the long water hole, which was made shortened by elevating the tee, and moving the pin West of its prior positions. Now that the tournament is past, we are focusing on raising funds in the event that we get the go-ahead to install a course in Golden Gate Park...
