How about an update on McLaren?

I did a search on the board here, and a google search for news about it, but I can't really find any info on what's going on with the proposed McLaren park course. The only web articles about it are a year old and talk about how there is still opposition to it.

Is the course approved? If not, what still has to happen before its approval?

If it is approved, what still has to be done before construction? This site seems to imply that the course is approved and the SFDGC is taking donations for it (here: http://www.sfdiscgolf.org/local_courses#mclaren), but the actual donations page is all about donating to the Golden Gate course.

I just joined the SFDGC the other day (at Purple Skunk...I don't know how long it takes for those applications to be gathered and recorded), because I seem to find myself playing the GG course often and I want to be sure I support its upkeep. But I'd like us to have somewhere else nice to play, too!

Jason--

Jeffery B is still working on the project--it is still active, and we have reason for guarded optimism. He continues the process of moving this forward through community response, course redesign, and eventually, approval. No actual building will take place until all of the proper approvals and permits are in place, and that's still an undefined ways off.

Thanks for your enthusiasm--that's what's going to be needed when we finally get the go-ahead to build the course!
