Week Two Scores

Postby hrc333 » Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:17 pm

In honor of the Master's final round being played last Sunday, the SFDGC weekly saw the course put into an extremely difficult layout.  Patrick & Jeff both turned in an impressive -3 to take the round.  The par (median) for the week was an impressive 64.  This was the last week of scratch golf.  Starting next week, the handicaps will kick in and it is anyone's chance to win.

Re: Week Two Layout

This layout was a helluva lot of fun!

So you think that even the pins in the A positions were harder than Bs and Cs on those holes?

It was only my second time playing the course, so I'm likely wrong, but was 11 really in the A position? If so, where is C- I know that B is the sleeve on top of the tree stump.

Yes...that was 11A.  11C is a little to the left of the stump and back up against the hill around 15 feet back of the stump.

As for these holes being the hardest.
7B=  C is probably harder but I bet not by much.
9B=  I think C is easier since it a more natural right handed shot.
10B= C should be a little harder, but it is hard to say.  They are around the same distance.
11A =  Since this was the first time anyone had seen it in this location, I think A may have played harder than the stump would have today.  We have not played this in C yet, so I can not really say if that will be harder.
15B =  Because of the OB right against the green, I think B is much harder than C.
18B =  This is another one that I am not sure.  We have yet to play the C position, but it would not surprise me that B plays harder.
