Becky announced at the Birthday Bash that registration would begin on-line after the Masters Cup. That's today. Any updates so I can hover at my computer to register? Thanks.

Hello Fellow Disc Golfers,

The San Francisco Disc Golf Club is proud to present the 2011 San Francisco Safari in Golden Gate Park, July 23rd & 24th. This is a PDGA sanctioned event and part of the NorCal Series.

This year's event will be a Pro/Am tournament due in large part to the fact that we will also have the Safari South Course along with our permanent Marx Meadow Course.

Registration for this event is online only through the PDGA's website.
Registration opens on Monday, May 30th, 2011 at 8pm PST

The cost breakdown per division is as follows:

Open Men (all divisions): $100
Open Women: $75
MA1 / MA2 / Am Masters / Grand Masters: $75
AM Women: $50
If it ain't coffee, its beer!

When will the South Course be mapped out and available to play/walk through?

Playing or practicing in the south course course area is strongly discouraged by the SFDGC. Permission to use that area, and the area between Marx and the Polo Grounds, is largely based on our agreement of once-a-year use of these areas.

The course layout will be created and mapped out over the course of the next several weeks, but maps and course layout will not be available until the tournament weekend.

We have been told by SFR&P that using ANY extra areas beyond our permanent course is limited to the weekend of July 23 & 24 only...we will keep our word and comply with the terms of the permit.

Thanks, everyone, for your understanding---

Call for volunteers and help - 2011 Safari

Postby crosstoby » Fri Jun 03, 2011 11:16 am

We could really use some assistance and support in putting together the tournament. Now is a great time to support the club and get involved. Please either post here or approach me or Becky or Todd in person and let us know you are interested.

Thanks!

I can help on any Sunday and Tuesday.
Is there a place on the web, we can see the registration list?

Hey guys, My friend is coming from out of town to play the safari and has registered for open and is an AM player. He didn't get paid until the AMs was already filled up. Anyway he can move to AMs since a few people have dropped out? He is a 900 rated player, the lowest rated player in the open field. Jake Peters.

I know this is a general discussion forum but I also e mailed Becky to see what can be done
