San Francisco Disc Golf Members,
I would like to express my fullest gratitude to all of you that made it out to the 2010 Bag Tag Challenge.
In my mind and heart I felt it was the best the BTC yet! I felt it was a great celebration of Disc Golf in San Francisco.
We raised a lot of money for the club and the two courses that, we hope to break ground on this year. Of course we will
have to raise more but this is a great start.
As you know McLaren is moving along with the undying effort of our previous President -- Jeffery Bowling.
As well as that fantastic vision of Peter Black working with San Mateo Parks to get a course built at Junipero Serra park.
160 players came out to the BTC.
The event yesterday made me very proud of the effort of all the volunteers involved.
As well as everyone who came out to play a challenging round, became a member, enjoyed the BBQ and supports the growing sport of Disc Golf.
I would like to thank the following list of people who made the event a success.
If I miss someone, please don’t take offense and know that you count to the Club.
Orion Sylvester – for running the CTP with great prizes, ordering and selling Club Discs.
And everyone else that helped sell Discs, like Joe Graham and Pat Walsh.
Todd Kurnat and his team– for the challenging, funky & fun layout.
Also designing the Bag Tag and scorecards.
Becky Terrill – for manning registration throughout the morning.
Jon Toby & Rob Levander – purchasing, preparing and cooking up a mean BBQ.
Along with the cooks were Chris Kennedy with his killer ribs and grill, Mark Mozuch & Mark Rozansky – and all the other cooks who dawned an apron.
Dan Tarango & Niko deVries – for checking scorecards.
Kevin Eckert – our Scoring Extraordinaire. He tabulated everyone’s hole by hole
score. With that he was able to give us hole-by-hole stats for the whole field. Simply Amazing!!!!!
Billy Manger – for providing some of the best beer around.
Again, I thank everyone that helped and all the members that came to play!
You Guys and Gals ROCK!!!!!
