NO PARKING on JFK on Aug. 9th - Safari Sunday

There will be no parking JFK Drive on Sunday Aug. 9th.
This is the 2nd day of the Safari.

The road will be closed form 10am - 2pm.
If your car is still on JFK at that time it could get towed.
So please park outside of the park on Sunday.

If you are setting up your basket or helping with the tourney.
You should be able to drop your basket/stuff off first thing on Sunday.
Then go park on Fulton.

Please be aware that JFK will be closed to cars on Sunday Aug. 9th 10am-2pm

might also be a good idea this year to put a sign up at tee one to let all non tourney players know about the course closure during the safari

Do we still have that sign/banner that states 'course closed'? Should we have one made? Fastsigns may be able to produce one for us.
Also would be a good idea to produce a few signs to indicate the course closure for the tournament and post ahead of time.
Ihave not looked yet, but have we also indicated on the website that the course will be closed to public play?
When these notices are put up we may want to avoid posting a 'time' the course will be available after the rounds. I think there was a stink a year or two back about that

I sent this to Les via email last night:

For the Safari, I went ahead and ordered a 1000' roll of yellow 'CAUTION - DO NOT ENTER' tape (I know this isn't the most aesthetic solution, but it's cheap, easy and effective), and I'll print up some arrow signs to channel people onto the proper paths, and keep them from walking onto the course at the usual spots (entering the park from Fulton and crossing the path in the middle 3's fairway, entering the park at 10, crossing 15 & 16 to get to/from the meadow, and crossing 17 from JFK).

I'm not planning to block off the road/path along 3 & 5, of course, but I might try making signs asking people to wait until any player tee off.

There should be plenty of tape for anything else we might need it for. I'll take care of placing the tape and signs Friday night or Saturday morning and clearing it all Sunday night.
