What's the highest number bag tag?  Just curious what I'll end up with...

Tim, we're hoping to get around 150 players for the tourney. So you can look forward to #150 or so...

So I'm not currently a member, but I'm ready to join.

Do I need to do that and then I can play in the tournament, or what?  Should I just show up on the day of and join then?

Never played in a tournament before but I'm ready to give it a shot!

We save 2% if you join offline.  :)

This link has all the details:
http://www.sfdiscgolf.org/blog/?p=37

The club will update the site soon with more info.

You just can't play that tournament if you're not a 2008 club member but aside from that membership can be done online or offline anytime before or after that within the year 2008.

I guess a good club question might be:
Can someone join online on 1/2/08 and we'll know that at the tourney?  That's easily printed off, and unless someone has a laptop and secure wireless at the event we'll not be able to do credit cards there.

The first day you will be able to sign up for a 2008 membership is at the 'Bag Tag Challenge.'  This means that the web site should not have 2008 membership option till after the Bag Tag Challenge.

So to answer the questions, no one will be a member for 2008 till they show up on Sunday.

So I can show up and play on on 01/06/2008, but until I establish a handicap I can't win?

Or do the handicaps reset to start the new season and the tournament has no handicap system?  In which case I can just show up, play, throw 3 aces and 12 birds, and win?

Timbuk3

this has nothing to do with the weeklies. There is no handicap. Raw scores only. The only thing that we're doing that has anything remotely connected to the weeklies is rolling over the ace pool from the weekly into the challenge.

Does anyone have any shade/rain structures that we could borrow for the event in case of a downpour?

I have 2 pop ups that I would be more than glad to loan out for the BTC.  Post back if you are still looking.  One is 10'x10' and I think the other is 8'x10'.
