2009 Bag Tag Challenge

Postby Orion » Fri Dec 26, 2008 5:44 pm

This just in...

I just received some signed Boss discs from the current world champion, David Feldberg. We will be having multiple CTP holes in which we will give away these signed discs.

WOW yet another reason to come out and play in our 2nd annual BTC.

See you out there

Oh yeah one more thing, all new D pin locations for the tournament. This will be a one time only layout so do not miss it.

Sweet! Not that I expect to win any, but still... :)

Speaking of prizes — I was playing this morning and once again noticing all the bottle caps (among other things) littering the course.

I'm TD'ing on 1/11, the day after the BTC, and thinking of handing out some baggies and offering a prize to the player or group who brings in the most bottle caps at the end of their round. (Yeah, those who brought beers would have a head start.)

It'd probably be the honor system, with each team or player writing their total on their scorecard. Anyway, if anyone has anything to donate or any ideas for a worthy incentive, let me know.

Any chance you could provide a brief overview of the layout? I did enjoy last years D positions.

D pin locations

Postby Orion » Sun Jan 04, 2009 5:27 pm

We are going to keep a lid on the locations at to ward off any preBTCpractice if ya know what I mean. Keep in mind it was Peter and I who drew up the layout so you know it's going to tough.

See you out there on Saturday.

We go some sick new plastic for the event as well.

The SFDGC 2009 Bag Tag Challenge is this Saturday Jan. 10Th.

In order to play in the BTC you must first renew or become
a Member of the Club. So don't forget your $40.

Registration will be 8AM - 10:30AM at Marx Meadow.

Once you have registered and have received your scorecard,
get into a group of 4 and go play.
We will be counting Birdies, Bogies and maybe Penalties to
calculate scores to reduce playoffs. So mark your "P's".

After wards there will be an ongoing CTP challenge in the meadow.
$1 a throw. We have 3 Boss's signed by Feldberg to give away.
Sorry were not giving away a basket, but this is a Fundraiser for the Club after all.

Don't forget the BBQ after wards as well. BEER will be provided!!
We will also give out the prizes for the Weekly 2008 Summer Winners.

Once we have calculated the scores we will give out the New Bag Tags!

***We are in need of a little help still.***
1. sweep tees early Saturday morning.
2. set baskets early Saturday morning. (Orion & Peter know the placements.)
3. move baskets back after the BTC.

If you can help with any of these tasks please respond back to this email and let me know.

So come on out for the BTC. Renew your membership. Play a good round of Golf. Hang out with your fellow Disc members and go home with a New Bag Tag!

If you are unable to make the BTC, Bag Tags will be available by signing up for membership on the SFDGC website. This will be activated on Jan 11th. Tags will also be available if someone is selling Discs at the course after Jan.10th.

A quick question- for those of us who are under time constraints and need to start early, will we be able to pick up the tag we've earned at the next weekly tournament rather than sticking around for an extra couple hours?

I say this as a man who loves BBQ and beer, but has family obligations :)

A heads up to the organizers of the BTC event. I met a Sales Manager from Anderson Valley Brewing Co at our past weekly who is donating a keg of beer for the BBQ. His name is Billy.

If any of you want to get a hold of him for any reason, i've got his card and would be happy to send along his info in an email.

I'm usually one of the first groups at the weeklies. I'll be there early on Sat. I don't mind sweeping the tees as I play. If your on the lead card take a broom. I'll bring mine.

Answer: If you have to leave before bag tags are handed out you will have to fill out your address on envelope (which we will have), then I will mail your bag tag to you.

Do you have the Boss in star plastic? ;)

SO PSYCHED!!!

Make sure you bring some $$$ to not only cover the $40 membership/tourney entrance fee, but also some to buy some fresh plastic.
