Why no Grandmaster in AMs?

The SFDGC hosts an annual PDGA tournament in August.

Why no Grandmaster in AMs?

Postby Sdraven » Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:31 pm

I'm curious. It certainly appears there are enough registered as Masters to break out the Grandmasters. (More than the Pro masters and grandmasters combined). It's not that big a deal as I probably wouldn't place regardless. I'm pretty lucky with raffle tickets though. I would like to know the reasoning to have it in Pro's but not in AMs.

Thanks

we have only offered it one year and that was last year. we are not offering many other divisions (am2 women, juniors, etc.). Once we announced what divisions were being offered it was not fair to then post-facto start offering new divisions. we can can reconsider next year if there is enough demand.
