Might be a mistake, but the winner of the intermediate devision was a 1000+ rated player. That's some tough competition :0 Is that correct?

Yeah that's interesting George. I see he has played 5 tourneys this year and they were all in the Open Division.

Looks like this is a PDGA database issue. When you click on "Matt Christensen", it takes you to the page for "Tyler Christensen":

That's where the rating on the Safari results is coming from.
