Interesting that a quarter of the players got par on 5C but the average score was a 4.5 whereas only 15% of players got a par on 12C but the average score was 4.38. That must be a reflection of the OB on 5, making it the harder hole but 12C a naturally harder hole since OB doesn't really come into play there.

I know there was 2!!!  One was Greg LaComb.  I heard him say he put in a crazy 100 foot approach shot.

I was thinking we should do these holes again in the near future to get a bigger sample.

Just did a couple more holes.  I am shocked to see that 4C only had 2 birdies and less people made par than on 3C!!!  I will continue to add holes as I have time and as we do weeklies.  I would love to see how these stats play out for all the holes.

So I am surprised hole 9 is playing easier than hole 2.

Also only 9% birdie on 10B but 80% par!!

Also the back 9 is playing considerably harder than the front 9.

shouldn't the percentages add up to 100% for each hole?

e.g. 10% birdie, 70% par, 20% bogey or worse = 100% of scores total

just asking because 9B and 11A seem to total to above 100% for just birdies and pars, let alone bogeys or otherwise  :P

thanks for crunching this- it is really cool to look at this sort of thing!

From my understanding, when golf course calculate par numbers, they are people who make at least par.  If you birdied, this means you atleast made par.  I could be wrong, but that is how I am calculating it.
