Great Guy (and Disc Golfer) Running for SF Supervisor

Hey All -- my good friend John Avalos is running for Supervisor for
District 11 in San Francisco. I have known John for 8 years -- before
he was remotely interested in running for elected office. Our
children have grown up together and families have spent a ton of time
together so it's the first time in my life that I can say that I
really know a candidate for elected office beyond the position papers
and speeches and election promises.

John is the real deal -- a great father, a committed public servant
and someone who is truly interested in lifting up one of the most
neglected districts in the City.

Oh, and did I mention he plays disc golf?

With two kids and a mortgage and running for office he does not get
to play much (I can relate:) but we have played DeLaVeaga together
and he acquitted himself pretty well!

John is facing a very tough race -- downtown business interests are
determined to spend tens of thousands of dollars to defeat him and
put their own handpicked candidate in office even though he is far
and away the most qualified candidate in the race.

District 11 is the very south. Ross, there may be a way to contact the district 11 disc golf community more directly based upon addresses. IOW, we can find out which golfers live in district 11 and get their butts out to vote for John.
