SEPTEMBER MONTHLY MOVED TO AUGUST 30 DUE TO CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Hi everybody,

The September monthly may be the last time you'll get a chance to
play the Delaveaga Disc Golf Course in the current layout in an organized
competitive event. This layout has served us well for many years, but a
change is in the wind. Here's the deal:

September 2
The City of Santa Cruz will begin construction of the paved parking lot on
September 2, 2008. The work will continue throughout September and
early October. The main parking area will be CLOSED during this period.
This project was a long time coming and we believe it will be a benefit to
everyone. The course itself will NOT be closed. Parking will be available on
the right hand fairway of hole 22. That's the good news.

The bad news - holes 23, 6. 7 and 27 are likely to be closed due to an
erosion control construction project. When this part of the project is
completed, these holes will be changed FOREVER. While we are not too
terribly excited about changing these signature holes, we recognize the
necessity of the task. When these holes are changed, the DDGC will make
every effort to keep Delaveaga as challenging as possible.

So What About the Monthly?
Good question and I'm glad you asked. The Monthly tournament for
September will be moved up to AUGUST 30. This will give all of us at least
one last chance to play this challenging and beloved course in the "old"
layout.

SEPTEMBER MONTHLY FACTS AND GUIDELINES

CTP for ALL Divisions

Tee off at 9:30 AM

~PLEASE GET THERE EARLY TO SIGN IN ~
IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNED IN BY 9:15AM, YOU WILL NOT PLAY.

PAYOUTS AND ENTRY FEES

AM2 - $5 - play for merchandise only - additional $5 to play for 'straight' cash (no added cash)
AM1 & AM MASTERS - $10 - play for merchandise and 'straight' cash (no added cash)
PRO - $10 - Cash payout only (added cash)
Women - $10 - Play for merchandise and added cash

$5 from each entry fee is donated to the DDGC to help pay for garbage
removal, the porta potty and other expenses to help maintain the course.
The DDGC will receive no more than $100 in donated funds ~ any
additional money will be added to the PRO and Women's Divisions.

Groups will be assigned in the order of sign up by division

The more players we have - the more merch and cash will be available to pay out.

It's your tournament and your course - you make the difference.

This could be the last time. Don't miss it.
