Check out the Foxs News 40 piece that was taped during the 2007 Turkey Shoot at Stafford Lake.  Stafford is one of the most beautiful courses in the world and only 45mins from city.  Come check it out...

Also...we will be having a Nor Cal series, PDGA B teir event, on Aug 2nd and 3rd.  More info to come on the 2008 Stafford Lake Pro/Am.

That's a really nice video, thanks for sharing.  Love that course.

Does McLaren have more elevation change than Novato?  Seems like it would.  I haven't seen the proposed layout though, if there is one.

I wouldn't think McLaren has more elevation that Stafford.  Stafford is about 215ft above sea level and about 600ft at the top.  Either way McLaren is begging for a championship course...say par 70+ on 18holes.

Actually...looks like it does have some serious elevation:

"McLaren Park's topography offers a broad range of elevations ranging from approximately 100 feet to a height of approximately 520 feet. Some 100 acreas have slopes in excess of 25 degrees."

sweetness...

nice video there N...

I don't think anyone is certain where exactly the Mclaren course will be. Lots has to be worked out first. Mclaren definitely has some elevation changes. More than GGP's back nine but perhaps less than Novato overall. However, the main hazard at Mclaren will be the wind, which throughout much of the year funnels in that area. When the wind is up, it will be a beast of a course. :)
