Playing for Tags?

Postby mofo313 » Mon Aug 20, 2007 3:36 pm

This is kind of a noob question but can some explain what playing for tags (I know what the bag tags are) means?  I heard quite of bit of it over the weekend and I'm wondering what exactly people are talking about.

I hide mine, personally.  I got a low number and suck, so this is the best strategy of keeping my $40 "collector's item".  I also wear camouflage and only play strange hours...keeping myself downwind from better players, or those dangerous tournament guys.

j/k.

well, i do hide mine at least.  :?

While we're on the subject, anyone ever visited the "wayback machine"?  It archives websites that allow it to each time changes are made.  in addition to giving you a look at old SFDGC pages, you can have fun looking at things like "craigslist.org" or "yahoo.com" or "ebay.com"...  I like it!

The Wayback Machine

Then type in 'sfdiscgolf.net' for example

stupid question #2

When/If you lose your tag, how do you get it back?  Arm-wrestling? Shuttle Run? Chug off?

i like rule #8 and challange #4 if these were true we would have some fighting players on our hands.

it would be cool to keep a top ten list of the holders of the top ten numbers.

Yea...we should actaully excerise the right of #4.....(Yea Q that is directed at you  )

As for number 8, we quickly changed that after we released that this would not really work in our club since we have so many tags out there.  I think we changed this like 2 weeks into the first bag tag

You have to buy a new one.  We do not replace lost numbers.

I landed the mighty jet black #17 founder tag (design 2) after a heavy early-on shmoozing of the tag master Rob Byers, I hit him quickly while the tags were still hot off the presses.  Mine's cursed now though, on the back.  You don't want it.

(*caca*, now I gotta get out the camo for real)
