Yeah, the city took it upon themselves to clandestinely build a sick disc golf course there with towering 1000 foot shots, gnarly uphills, and views to die for.

Back in '98 we had 27 holes mapped out in McLaren, and it was an awesome course. I vageuly remember the layout, but it had holes with views of the bay, the Pacific ocean, the Cow Palace, and downtown.

Oh, and the shots were killer as well.

If and when we ever get to planning a course there, a championship level 18 would be ideal.

well you know where my vote lies on this topic. Lets get cracking on the planning process! GGP is so crowded already and another 18 (if not more...see the SF golf story for more) would really serve the needs of the DG community.

If you want another course in SF, you need to come to the meeting on Sunday at the course.  Time will be 1pm.

Even if we have the political capital to get this course, where do we get the money and the labor.  It was hard to get people out to work parties for the Golden Gate Course, it is going to be even harder when there already is a course in the ground.

Sorry to be cynical, but I KNOW all to well what it takes now to build a disc golf course in this city.

Since Saturdays are so busy at GG Who's open to the idea of a regular Saturday Safari Object/Portable Round at McClarren??

Just a humble suggestion that could build momentum towards raising capital and labor for the new course.

Me and my roomates live about five minutes from Maclaren park and all would gladly volunteer to help on a course at this park.....any movement forward on this, just drop me a line and were there...4 of us here...
