Hey SFDGC,

Our attempt to get the San Mateo county rec and park to look into disc
golf was summarily thrown out with little reasoning. Basically, they
do not want to deal with it. But hey, we can show them that it's worth
it. They could make up to $150,000 a year on parking revenue if they
got smart about it, and who's to blow off that kind of scratch in
these economic times? Furthermore, as we all already know (but they
apparently don't) disc golf is just the type of low cost,
environmentally sustainable activity we should be developing!

We're trying to get enough members that we can do the following:
1) attend each and every rec and park commission meeting and talk
about disc golf
2) be able to show to the county that we have a lot of people behind
us.

We'll do this by assembling the group and keeping the group on top of
the latest news.

Please help us...the Pescadero course would be epic (as many of you
already know!). A second course at Junipero Serra would be more
available but super fun for beginners. Invite any and all friends on
facebook. We're gonna make this happen!
