Want to Be a Volunteer Coordinator?

We'll need two coordinators for every work party day. If, after reading this, you are still interested in being a Volunteer Coordinator, please contact Ross Hammond (margross@igc.org) and let him know which weekend day(s) you are available for.

Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities:

1. Be on-site from 8:45am until 5:15pm of the scheduled day.

2. Make sure all volunteers who come to work sign the RPD waiver; turn those waiver forms into the Club.

3. Make sure there is sufficient water, snacks, gloves and tools for volunteers.

4. Maintain sign up and sign out list for the VIP (volunteer incentive program); hand those in to the Club.

5. Work with other coordinator to, well, coordinate the day's work. Have that day's list of tasks on hand and assign volunteers to appropriate tasks based on skills and how many volunteers show up. Use cell phones to contact parties and to field questions.

6. Update spread sheet with tasks completed that work day. Update spread sheet with tasks that will need doing for the following day/week.

7. Call the next day's coordinators to update them on work completed and that not completed which will require attention.

8. Work with volunteers to make sure all tools, materials and snacks are secured at the end of the day.
